Booking Conditions
To keep letting fees affordable to all groups and individuals, the Management Committee relies on all users to play their part in keeping the premises in good condition.
It is imperative that all users adhere to these conditions.
All hirers are required to pay a refundable deposit with the payment of the hire charge. First Hire - £250; Subsequent Hires - £150; Children’s Parties - £50. Failure to observe these conditions will result in forfeiture, of all or a proportion, of the refundable deposit.
One of the Committee appointed Key Holders will open and close the hall for hirers at the agreed times and ensure these conditions have been adhered to. Any refund of deposit will then be made by the Treasurer within 3-5 days.
Please do not stick anything on to the walls, windows or doors. Any damage caused to contents, furnishings or fabric of the building, or any extra cleaning required, will be charged to the hirer.
For insurance and health and safety reasons we do NOT permit Bouncy Castles inside or outside the premises.
The rooms must be left in a clean and tidy condition with the floors swept and any spills mopped up. Cloths, etc. are provided. Mops and buckets are provided, one for kitchen and general use, one for toilet areas only.
Chairs must be stacked away no more than ten high, within the taped area, leaving a clear passage between the two rooms.
Tables must be wiped clean and stored away safely, as indicated in the photograph on the storage trolleys.
All windows must be closed and lights and heaters turned off.
Hirers are advised to check the toilets to ensure the bins have been emptied and the lights and taps are turned off before leaving the premises.
Smoking is not permitted in the building. Please be considerate to other users by not littering the immediate area outside the hall.
To keep disturbance to local residents to a minimum:
- Hirers must ensure that the playing of all music, live or recorded, must finish by 11.30 pm,
- Hirers are to ensure that they have vacated the hall and car park by 12 midnight, and
- No cars to be left in the car park overnight.
Use of the Kitchen Facilities
All hirers are asked to ensure they leave the kitchen in a clean and tidy condition. If the fridge, microwave, cooker/oven is used, please clean thoroughly after every use.
All hirers may use the crockery but as tea towels are not provided please bring your own.
Waste bins must be emptied and all rubbish removed from the premises.
WARNING! The Main Hall Kitchen is now fitted with an Induction Hob.
Induction hobs and heart pacemakers Induction hobs can generate electromagnetic fields that may interfere with pacemakers, potentially leading to malfunction. It is recommended to maintain a safe distance of at least 60cm (2ft) between the stovetop and the pacemaker to minimise the risk of interference.
